A simple website showing a tiled picture of actor Sean Connery, A voice clip of his saying the line, and the iconic third dimensional zooming text was the start of something special. That would later become a whole other website that would born a lot of iconic internet jokes created by users around the net to make subdomains with their images and audio clips, This single one simple site went influence the internet and humor of it since then.
This makes the perfect addition for Protoweb for it’s history of the web and well, let’s be true honest to one and other Reader, This wasn’t a hard submission at all, It didn’t take more than 3 minutes from downloading to publishing, I just found it funny how fast it would take for this historic website, But i can tell you we did before launching this, And while this website didn’t played the audio on older browsers like Internet Explorer and Netscape, We wanted everyone to experience on other browsers since it’s those are the most used by the community, So thanks to davathan for his help, he put a quick code on the site that it should play the audio in both Internet Explorer and Netscape/Retrozilla so everyone’s can visit the site in their setup without any issue.
And to finalize this blog entry, While it may not be the other website with all their user-submitted content ytmnd.com, I don’t know, Maybe but just maybe one day it could come to Protoweb (maybe) 😉
