GameFAQs.com (circa 2000) has been fully restored in its early-2000s layout, featuring text-based guides, and no-frills search experience that defined the era.
This restoration features over 10,000 games spanning console, handheld, arcade, and computer platforms, from first-generation systems through the GameCube and PlayStation 2 era (sixth generation). Coverage ranges from the late 1980s through the mid-2000s.
The following has been restored:
- Full text game guides
- FAQs and walkthroughs
- Boss guides and strategy documents
- User reviews
- Downloadable save files (usable in emulators or on original hardware)
- Game search engine with system filtering
All guides are preserved in their original plain-text format, complete with ASCII art headers, version history logs, and contributor credits.
