I love picking up projects that matter. Seeing the concrete impacts of my work motivates me and I love to just get into the flow and make something awesome happen. I try to focus on the main goals and the steps to get there.
I've worked all my life in various customer service oriented positions. Being a highly extroverted people -driven person, I light up when I know that I'm making a difference. This shows in both delivering expectation-exceeding service to customers and in managing teams towards common goals. I believe delivering personal service as well as focusing on goals both internal and external are the most important keys to succeed.
In developing projects, I have great instincts, but I do look for data for my decisions. I do a great amount of research in order to excel in the execution of even big ideas within the given constraints.
Becoming a manager was one of the biggest career challenges that I've accepted so far. I am a very open person and I am easy to talk to, but managing and aligning a team requires leadership skills as well. As I recruited new team members for our growing retail team at Swappie, and I learned about the new people I'd hired through one-on-one conversations, I quickly accumulated valuable skills in leadership. Through interviews and self-learning, I was able to build an amazing team of motivated individuals that constantly got amazing feedback from customers. I love to win, but helping my team learn and develop gives me even greater joy, and I loved seeing how much my team progressed over time.
I try to reflect on my past experiences to see the ways that I have improved, and the ways that I can further drive myself to become a better person both in my personal life as well as in my career. I keep my eyes peeled and I'm constantly learning new things because I don't settle down. Even through adversity, I stay calm and resolut. I strive to stay true to myself, which is why I always try to make the best and most sustainable decisions possible.
